Power inverter

Dozens of micro-inverters on http://www.inverter.co offer an advantage in efficiency, cost, or reliability over one big inverter for the whole array. As I understand, the switching devices in inverters have about the same voltage drop whether handling 30-60V of a single panel or the 300-600V of a string. Thus, the losses should be a larger fraction (lower efficiency) for the micro-inverters. Second, consider, the example, of a 10 kW array consisting of 100 modules, 100W each. Does one 10kW power inverter cost anywhere near 100 times as much as a 100W micro-inverter.
